Green card is an internationally accepted legal document issued by one’s car insurance agency. The Council of Bureaux (London) manages the Green Card system. It is a certificate needed by British drivers when they are driving overseas. It is a proof of insurance in a foreign country.
The green card comes for free. It is a proof that the car is insured up to a certain level.
